These are simple scams where you can easily detect that it is fake. Sometimes, it can be difficult to catch. Imagine they use an Indian name and have a picture of an Indian girl and just saying hello and nothing else.. some of us might get curious and reply back.

One, you are confirming to them that it is a genuine email id and second, they can then send any sort of message and make you fall for the scam. Its better to avoid replying to such emails and just delete it.
