Do you know all your contacts list on Linkedin? Check once again! Cyber criminals are using fake Linkedin profiles to harvest information about users like where they work, the type of work they do, their contacts, their groups and memberships, their friends etc. Traditionally such information has been used by them to send targeted phishing emails but now they are also using this platform to spread virus and malware. So, when you get a connection request from a person you are not sure about, it is best not to accept the invite. If you get a message, that seems strange or out of place, it's better to delete. Although Linkedin is working hard to remove such profiles from their platform, but new profiles are created each day.
