Got a fake call from a person and he said he is from HDFC bank, Delhi branch. He told me since I am using my card well, HDFC is giving me bonus points. In return he asked for details like my card number, CVV, type of card etc. I refused to give him the details and when I asked him for his details he refused. I said I will file a complaint against his number to the police and he said he doesn't care and the police will not be able to do anything. I was surprised to hear his words, such people are not worried about any police complaints. The only way to stay safe is to stay vigilant and not give away any information. |

One person fell for a similar scam and gave his card details. After sometime 28000 was spent from his account on various online transactions. He called the bank to block his card and file a complain but the money was already gone. I think it was Citi bank in his case.
