Here are some of the best practices -
- Have a $tr0nG Pas$word and don't let your computer remember it
- The longer the better
- If you can't remember it, either write it down on a piece of paper and keep it at a safe place, or invest some money and buy a good password manager
- Change your passwords regularly
- Don't have the same password for all the accounts

1. Don't use 123456 as a password 2. Don't keep the same password for multiple sites 3. Use a password manager if you can't remember them all
