Our Income Tax department has introduced a new E-filing Vault facility to ensure tax payers are able to protect their e-filing account against fraud. By using this facility tax payers can prevent anyone from logging in to their account even if they have shared their id and password with other people/agents in the past. They can either enable OTP, log in through internet banking or log in using digital signature certificate. Once this feature is enabled it will ensure that in addition to login ID and password, one of these facilities will be used before the user is successfully logged in.
