I think it is common sense to have an anti-virus software installed on your computer and that it is automatically updating. Don't you think?  |

Use a password protected screen saver. Your computer should auto lock after sometime (5-10 minutes) and it can only be unlocked by you entering your password.

Also, in such cases, people rarely go to the police since they fear it would impact their respect in the society.
